Jasmine Miikika Craciun’s work ‘From Their Hands to Mine’ reimagines stone artefacts and envisions a connected future for destroyed cultural markers and artefacts. Conceived by the artist during her time on her grandmother’s Country in Tibooburra, Craciun documented the stone artefacts that were earmarked for relocation working to capture the spirit of what might be lost when diggers were to come through and destroy countless others below the surface. This work uses techniques to map the objects and reimagine the stone artefacts, becoming a possible future archive of cultural belongings. ⁠
