WORKSHOP | LOVE CALLIGRAPHY WITH JASON PHU

Let love loose in this free drop-in workshop with artist Jason Phu.

Visit any time between 3-4pm on Saturday 4th May with a poem, phrase or couplet relating to love and Jason Phu will help you transform it into calligraphy.

The workshop is inspired by Jason Phu’s new video installation in our current exhibition Stop Peeping, which features traditional calligraphy scrawled in black paint on the wall. Translating to “A plane ticket to the moon costs 30 rolls of silk”,  the symbols make reference to Phu’s Grandfather’s divorce from an arranged marriage in order to be with the woman he loved – Phu’s Grandmother.
