‘Kafu’ are traditional handmade Tongan blankets, which Monu playfully parodies with synthetic ‘mink’ bedspreads. Drop in between 5 and 7pm for a fashion portrait photoshoot, and feel free to bring in your own ‘mink’ for an extra personal touch!

Accompanying Kafu Couture will be a DJ set by Leo Tanoi and drinks courtesy of Young Henrys.

Sione Monu is an artist of Tongan descent working across the media of photography, fashion and adornment, performance and drawing. Monu is also a contributing member of the art collective Witch Bitch.
