This Sunday at 3pm please join us to hear writer and editor Winnie Dunn in conversation with Talia Smith, curator of our current exhibition Here is Your Horizon, as they discuss the representation and role of the Pacific voice in Australia.    ⁠

Dunn will also be speaking with members of Woven Kolektif, a group of artists exploring Australian-Indonesian connections who have created an immersive healing environment in our Project Space titled Breathing Room. ⁠

Winnie Dunn is a Tongan-Australian writer from Mt Druitt. She is the manager and editor of Sweatshop: Western Sydney Literacy Movement. Dunn’s work has been published in The Lifted Brow, Sydney Review of Books, Meanjin, The Griffith Review and SBS Life.

Talia Smith is an artist and curator based in Sydney, Australia, originally from New Zealand. She is of Cook Island, Samoan and New Zealand European heritage. Her curatorial practice examines themes of time, memory and dislocation. She has curated exhibitions at Cement Fondu, Artspace Sydney Ideas Platform, Artbank, Centre for Contemporary Photography and The Lock-Up Artspace.

Woven Kolektif are a group of artists based between Australia and Indonesia who are investigating collective and cultural practices of care in light of the rhetoric behind global culture wars and identity politics.
