The second of a year-long series of jazz collaborations between Cement Fondu and bandleader Edward Lyons (Princeton Parker, End Notes), this social evening of jazz responds to our current exhibition Sense and coincides with the launch of a new Project Space installation by artist Leahlani Johnson.

Enjoy your Friday with drink in hand, as local musicians and vocalists offer a rare musical perspective on our relationship to the natural world and how we seek to make sense of it.

Throughout 2018, Lyons’ band will perform a combination of jazz improvisations, sound installations, field recordings and local compositions in response to each of our gallery exhibitions.Taking guests from jazz classics to showcasing brand new compositions and travelling to the creative edges of the genre, Lyons and his band will produce an altogether new way of experiencing the artworks that surround them.
