Join artists Paula Do Prado and Katrina Brennan in this free, all-ages experimental workshop in which participants can draw, collage and create with abandon to create their own Magical Creature.
The workshop will take place within Unicorn Butterfly, an exhibition on the Cement Fondu mezzanine created by the two artists through Studio A. The pair’s professional collaboration is anchored in their shared exploration of evolving hybrid forms and the use of repetitive making techniques, as well as a love of bright colours.
Their artwork features original line drawings of mythical creatures, unicorns and chimeras as well as weaving, soft sculpture and jewellery.
Cement Fondu has partnered annually with Studio A since its launch exhibition in 2018. Within the community, Studio A reduces the stigma associated with people with disability, offering access to their talent, imagination and ways of seeing the world.
