LISTEN & LINGER | Sweatshop | 2 March reading event

Join us in the gallery from 6-8pm on Thursday March 2, for an evening of readings by Western Sydney based LGBTQIA+ writers from Sweatshop.

Attendance is free, and all are welcome. RSVP recommended.

Hosted within our Sydney WorldPride exhibition Linger, Dash, Talk, contributors from across Sweatshop’s diverse back catalogue, Daniel Nour, Adrian Mouhajer, Anne-Marie Te Whiu, Mark Mariano, Raveena Grover will read new & existing poems, short stories and prose.

 

Sweatshop is a literacy movement based in Western Sydney which is devoted to empowering culturally and linguistically diverse communities through reading, writing and critical thinking. Our movement provides research, training, mentoring and employment opportunities for emerging and established writers and arts practitioners from Indigenous and non-English speaking backgrounds.
