Sealed Earth looks at how an artist’s work is valued in a monetary way. Every day for 1 financial year the artist squeezed clay in her hand, producing a number of pieces depending on the time of day. The numbers scratched in the bottom of each sculpture represent the number of pieces created on a particular day, and the date on which she made each piece.

Harriet Body works in the expanded field of mark making to examine ideas of presentness and tension between marks in space. Moving across painting, textiles, and sculpture, Harriet’s practice works in harmony with the natural environment and employs an interest in Care.
