The Art Store is a playful and provocative space curated by Cement Fondu Directors Megan Monte and Josephine Skinner to complement the ideas, materials and makers in the gallery’s changing shows.
The Stop Peeping edition of the Art Store turns its gaze on desire, revelation and secrecy with a focus on the body and consumption.
It features handmade jewellery by Vulvè Accessories, which aims to empower women and break down taboos, limited edition etchings by Jason Phu, unique tapestries and Gaze zines by Bridget Stehli Curnow inspired by 1970s & 1980s pornography for heterosexual women, handmade Muchacha mugs by Ceci Ceramics, made in the US, and the pocket size book Pics or It Didn’t Happen, which compiles photographs banned from Instagram to explore modern day censorship.
